3. 12-13 October Pre-conference Workshop - Dimensions of the Concsciousness – Holotropic Breathwork with Hans Peter Weidinger and HB staff Holotropic Breathwork - developed by Stan and Christina Grof - relies on a combination of more frequent and deeper breathing (hyperventilation), evocative music, process-oriented bodywork and intuitive drawing (Mandala-drawing). This setting evokes non-ordinary states of consciousness which enable an access to deeper layers of our soul and to spiritual dimensions of our consciousness. The participants are encouraged to express and let happen all emotions, movements, sounds, memories and pictures that surface. After the breathwork-session the experiences will be shared among the participants and integration into the everyday state of consciousness will be enhanced. The experiences - on a personal, transpersonal and spiritual level - are in connection with the current live situation and can help to make a further step in our development. Fee: 180 Euro 4. 19-20 October Post- Conference Workshop. Take a walk on the dreaming body A shamanic experience – Pier Luigi Lattuada
Biotransenergetics is a poetic fire, an Integral Medicine, a
Transpersonal Psychotherapy. It wants to learn to recognize the sacred
creative yearning of life and to honour its laws, to “master the Transe” Fee: 150 Euro - with Pier Luigi Lattuada and BTE staff 5. Stan Grof and the Milan EUROTAS Conference
Psychology of the Future: Stanislav Grof, M.D. In this seminar, we will explore the process of psychospiritual death and rebirth, using the paintings from depth psychological work with psychedelic substances and holotropic breathwork. The understanding of this process is essential for any serious approach to the ritual and spiritual history of humanity - shamanism, rites of passage, healing ceremonies of native cultures, ancient mysteries of death and rebirth, the great religions of the world, and the mystical traditions of all times and countries. The insights from this work throw also new light on artistic creations from ancient times to the modern era and sociopolitical events, such as wars, revolutions, and genocide. Stanislav Grof is Professor of Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), conducts professional training programs in holotropic breathwork and transpersonal psychology, and gives lectures and seminars worldwide. He is one of the founders and chief theoreticians of transpersonal psychology and the founding president of the International Transpersonal Association (ITA). 6. Erwin Lazlo and the Milan EUROTAS Conference The cutting edge of the sciences The intuitions reported by mystics, poets, artists, ordinary people, even scientists, often go beyond the range of sensory perception. In the reductionist culture inspired by classical science, they are dismissed as mere delusion classical empiricism claims that there is nothing in the mind that was not first in the eye. However, the classical tenet is not universally upheld. It is exceptional in the annals of history, and even in the context of contemporary cultures. But are the intuitions that occasionally surface in consciousness mere delusion? Or can there be intuitions that are as real and fundamental as sensory perception? This question calls for a deeper look at the possibility that spontaneous insights and intuitions may have a physical basis. This presentation will summarize the pertinent findings surfacing at the cutting edge of the sciences and will thereby seek to legitimize this important but vastly neglected dimension of human experience. Ervin Laszlo is Founder and President of The Club of Budapest, Founder and Director of the General Evolution Research Group, and Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences. 7. Call for Papers- Milan
Many people said they wanted fewer words and more experience for the
Conference. So please, bring your heart and dare to open the door and we will all enjoy that! You can present an informal talk (no reading allowed please!), a workshop or participate in a working group. Talks will last 30 minutes and workshops two hours. Working groups takes two hours too but in a different way. Between three to six presenters introduce themselves, their work and topics for 10 minutes each. The remaining time is to share experience and ideas with all participating - , something similar to the World Café. Please send us your proposals as soon as possible. Latest date we can receive them is April 30th. The 11th EUROTAS Conference Scientific Board will give you an answer before the end of May. 8. Letter to the Delegates from the President of EUROTAS and others Dear friends, This is a letter which requires your support so please read it and reply. We have just finished our ECCA (Eurotas Committee for Certification and Accreditation) meeting in Evora, Portugal. We certified new therapists and discussed ways to improve this certification process. The good news is that we have now almost 50 certified transpersonal psychotherapists from Austria, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Latvia, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and the USA and we are working towards a steady increase of the number of people certified by EUROTAS. We deeply feel that this process will bring more recognition to the transpersonal model for psychotherapy and strengthen the community of spiritually-oriented therapists. A growing number of well certified therapists will give more support to EUROTAS and recognise transpersonal psychotherapy. We are now ready to apply for EUROTAS to become an EAP (European Association for Psychotherapy) member and a EWAO (European-Wide Accrediting Organization). We will let you know when we have concrete results.
At
this stage we need your support and help because you are the bridge
between EUROTAS and transpersonal therapists in your countries. Attached, you will find the criteria and the application form. We suggest that you put this information on the websites of your associations and that you forward it to your emailing list of psychotherapists. We are trying to do our best but without your support we stay very limited to the circle of our close friends. So please give us feedback and answer the short questionnaire attached. We need your cooperation to understand how we can help you more to promote the transpersonal approach to psychotherapy in your country and get more recognition from the psychotherapeutic mainstream. Our next meeting will be in Milano, October 2009 and your colleagues can take this opportunity to be certified then. Please encourage candidates to apply for certification very soon. See the Questionnaire below. With greetings from Evora, Portugal February 6, 2009 The ECCA

9. Last Words – Rumold Mol The EUROTAS river of thanks to Rumold will never dry out as Pia wrote so movingly in the last Newsletter. What better recognition would he want that we all now take action and sign up to coming to Milan and offer what we have to offer not only to our friends but to a wider world in these special times of crisis and change? As Pia wrote: “We miss Rumold and we are in sorrow, Ank and all of us in EUROTAS, so I asked the Prophet to speak about sorrow and he answered:
‘Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
